The Moto3 Honda Team Asia faced the fifteenth round of the season at the Pertamina Mandalika Circuit, in Indonesia, lining up three riders: Indonesian rider from the Junior Talent Team, Fadillah Arbi Aditama, joined the team as a wildcard. A special occasion for Aditama on home soil, marking his third appearance with the team this season, following his previous wildcard entries at the CatalanGP and AragonGP.

Taiyo Furusato and Tatchakorn Buasri faced a challenging weekend start, finishing the first day in 21st and 26th positions, respectively. For Buasri this was his first appearance on the Indonesian track. Wildcard rider Fadillah Arbi Aditama placed 24th.

On the qualifying day Taiyo Furusato finished in 3rd position, contending for pole before pushing too hard on the final lap, which led to a crash without consequences for the rider.
Tatchakorn Buasri got the 24th time, while Aditama delivered a strong performance, qualifying 21st.

The race was a mixture of unfortunate events: Furusato led the race after the first corner and contended for a podium finish before crashing on the final laps of the race.
Buasri was involved in a collision with another rider after a strong start, leading to a crash.
Aditama suffered a similar fate, unable to finish due to a crash.

Despite the final result the motivation is still high and the team is already focused on the next round in Japan.

MOTO3: TAIYO FURUSATO #72
Grid 3 -Race DNF

Today’s race in Mandalika leaves me feeling disappointed. Up until the crash, I was performing well, and I gave my best effort. Unfortunately, we missed out on a great opportunity for a strong result. However, there is no time for regrets—we must now focus on the upcoming race at Motegi. Racing in my home country of Japan motivates me to give everything I have to achieve the best possible result.

MOTO3: TATCHAKORN BUASRI #5
Grid 24- Race DNF

Today was an unlucky day for me. I had a good start, gained positions, and was closing the gap to the riders in front. Unfortunately, a collision with another rider caused me to crash. Although I experienced some pain in my shoulder, a visit to the medical center revealed no serious injury. I hope to be ready for the next race in Japan. Moving forward, we’ll work harder and push from the start to achieve our goals.

MOTO3: ARBI ADITAMA #93
Grid 21- Race DNF

I made a good start but struggled with grip in the first few laps. After finding my rhythm, I made an error at Turn 10 but managed to recover. As I caught up with the group ahead, I pushed too hard at Turn 11 and experienced a highside crash. I sincerely apologize for the result, but I’m grateful to Honda Team Asia, Astra Honda Team, and the Junior Talent Team for giving me this opportunity.

HIROSHI AOYAMA – Team Manager

The race in Mandalika was certainly thrilling. Taiyo Furusato was in contention for a win until a crash on lap 17 dashed our hopes of securing a podium finish or even a victory. Though the result was disappointing, we are relieved that Taiyo is unhurt, and we will shift our focus to the next race in Japan, where we aim to achieve the results we’ve been working toward. Tatchakorn Buasri was also unlucky, as he was involved in a collision with another rider after a strong start. Unfortunately, this ruined his race. Arbi Aditama suffered a similar fate, unable to finish due to a crash. Overall, it was a tough day for our team, but the silver lining is that all three riders are in good health. We will analyze our performance, learn from our mistakes, and focus on making improvements for the upcoming race at Motegi. We appreciate all the support from our fans and will strive for a better outcome in Japan.
