After the Indonesian GP, the Moto3 Honda Team Asia moved directly to Japan, at Twin Ring Motegi Circuit, for round 16, marking the final race of a three-weekend series. A special appointment for Furusato and the team, facing their home GP.

The first day was dominated most of the time by rain and both riders showed improvement in the final practice session, when the track dried up, leaving them optimistic. Taiyo Furusato finished 17th, after struggling with braking, and Tatchakorn Buasri 22nd.
On the qualifying day Furusato secured 13th position after finishing as the third-fastest rider in Qualifying 1, while Thai rookie Tatchakorn Buasri got the 25th position on the grid.

In the race, in front of his home crowd, Furusato delivered a solid performance securing the final 9th place.
Thai rookie Tatchakorn Buasri suffered a crash (fortunately without serious consequences) in the second lap at Turn 3, preventing him from achieving his target for the weekend.
A few days of rest before facing another three-race series. Next stop: Phillip Island in two weeks!

I’m not entirely satisfied with today’s result, but I’m proud to have given my all at my home Grand Prix. I pushed myself to the limit throughout the race, staying focused until the end. We’ll continue working hard, and I believe better results will come soon, as hard work always pay off.

MOTO3: TATCHAKORN BUASRI #5
Grid 25- Race DNF

Today was tough for me. Unfortunately, I couldn’t finish the race after an early crash at Turn 3. I didn’t have the best start, but I pushed hard until the crash happened. It’s disappointing, especially after all the hard work we put in to achieve a good result. I hope to be fully recovered for the race in Australia in two weeks.

HIROSHI AOYAMA – Team Manager

We have just finished the race here in Motegi. Taiyo Furusato was battling for a top 10 position, and although he finished 9th, it’s not the result we had hoped for. We believe he was capable of achieving a better outcome. Nonetheless, he gave his best effort, and now we must shift our focus to the upcoming races to meet our goals.
Tatchakorn Buasri suffered a crash in the second lap at Turn 3. Fortunately, he is okay and doesn’t have any type of serious injury, and we are optimistic that he will recover fully in time for the next races. I would like to express my gratitude to our staff and sponsors. Although this result wasn’t what we anticipated, we will continue working hard to improve in the remaining races.
