For the twelfth round of the World Championship at MotorLand Aragón in Alcañiz, the Moto3 Honda Team Asia lined up three riders.

The Indonesian Junior Talent Team rider Fadillah Arbi Aditama joined the team as a Wildcard,  marking his third appearance with the team, following his wildcard entries in last year’s Indonesian GP and this season’s Catalan GP.

The first day was tough for all the three riders as the lack of grip on the track due to the new asphalt, made riding difficult and conditions challenging. Despite showing improvement in the second session, Taiyo Furusato ended the day in 18th position. Meanwhile, rookie Tatchakorn Buasri and wildcard Arbi Aditama finished in 25th and 27th positions, respectively.

On the qualifying day Taiyo Furusato secured 15th position after advancing to Q2. Tatchakorn Buasri experienced misfortune during his lap time attack; while aiming to earn a spot in Q2, he had a significant crash and was unable to complete any timed laps, resulting in a 27th place start. Meanwhile, wildcard entry Arbi Aditama secured 22nd place, showing improvement.

In the race Taiyo Furusato delivered a strong performance, finishing in sixth place and contending for a podium position for a significant portion of the race. The Japanese rider demonstrated impressive speed, making his performance a commendable comeback given his starting position.

Tatchakorn Buasri also showed promising pace similar to Furusato and displayed his speed early on. Despite running a solid race and nearing the points zone, he suffered a crash that ultimately prevented him from finishing.

Wildcard rider Arbi Aditama, at his second appearance in the World Championship this year, completed the race in 22nd position, gaining valuable experience and mileage in the Moto3 class.

Next stop Italy!

MOTO3: TAIYO FURUSATO #72
Grid 15 -Race 6

Finishing in 6th position this weekend is a good result. I encountered some challenges with tire management towards the end of the race, as I pushed a bit too hard early on in an attempt to gain as many positions as possible. This was my mistake, as I wasn’t able to preserve the tires effectively for the entire race.
Overall, it was a good race. I gave my best effort and am fairly satisfied with both my performance and the final result. Looking ahead to next week in Misano, which is my favorite circuit, I hope to maintain this positive momentum and achieve an even better result.

MOTO3: TATCHAKORN BUASRI #5
Grid 27- Race DNF

I have mixed feelings about today’s race. I had a strong start and felt very confident with the bike and the overall setup. The tire selection was spot on, and I was pushing hard because I knew I had the pace to be at least in the top 10. My goal was to finish within the points, but unfortunately, I pushed too hard and ended up crashing.
It’s disappointing because at the time of the crash, I was extremely close to breaking into the top 15. However, we must learn from our mistakes—patience is key, and the results will come. Now, I’m focused on Misano race in seven days, and I’m eager to see how things will unfold there.

MOTO3: FADILLAH ARBI ADITAMA #93
Grid 22- Race 22

Today’s race didn’t start as well as I had hoped. I struggled with tire, which caused me to lose a lot of time at the start. I tried to maintain my pace within the group and gradually catch up to the riders ahead. However, after one lap, I made a mistake while following Tatchakorn. I attempted to avoid him because I wanted to overtake, but he was also trying to pass another rider. We came very close to a collision, so I tried to steer clear by going to the outside. Unfortunately, I ended up in the dirty zone, lost the front, and fell significantly amount of time. Such conditions are not common in the JuniorGP, so it’s valuable experience. I concentrated on maintaining my pace and adapting to the tire throughout the race. It was a good opportunity to prepare for the upcoming races in the JuniorGP season.

HIROSHI AOYAMA – Team Manager

We have just concluded the Moto3 race, which turned out to be a true test of endurance due to the challenging track conditions caused by the heavy rain last night. The pace of the race was significantly slower than yesterday, indicating that the grip on the track was far from optimal.
Taiyo Furusato made a remarkable effort during the race, starting from 15th position and steadily climbing up to second. However, as the tires began to wear, he struggled to maintain his position and ultimately finished in P6. Despite this, he demonstrated impressive speed, making his performance a commendable comeback given his starting position. Tatchakorn Buasri also showed promising pace similar to Furusato and displayed his speed early on. Unfortunately, after eight laps, just as he was approaching the points zone, he suffered a crash. Thankfully, he’s okay, which is a relief, but it’s disappointing that he couldn’t capitalize on his potential to score points. We remain hopeful that he will achieve the desired result in the next race. As for Arbi Aditama, this was his second appearance as a wildcard rider. He finished in 22nd position, and I hope this experience provided him with valuable insights. As we head to Misano next week, we aim to build on this momentum. Thank you to everyone for your continued support.
