The MotoGP circus returned to Europe for the fifth round of the 2025 season at the Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto, Spain. After a majestic race in Qatar with a second-place finish in Lusail, Japanese rider Taiyo Furusato was determined to get another strong result.
Tatchakorn Buasri, fully recovered from his leg injury, wanted to show his true potential.

On the first day, after a difficult start in the morning session, Furusato made a big step forward, getting the third-fastest time in the combined standings and securing a direct spot in Q2. Meanwhile, Buasri struggled to find the right pace.

On the qualifying day Taiyo got the 9th position on the grid while Thai rider Tatchakorn Buasri got the 20th position after having shown a strong pace in Q1.

The race was exciting for both riders who secured important points after a thrilling battle.
Taiyo Furusato made a brilliant start and quickly gained positions till the 5th place by the end of the first lap. He pushed hard to close the gap to the leading group but finally settled into the second group behind the podium fight. After a fierce battle, Furusato crossed the line in 6th place.

Tatchakorn Buasri scored his first points of the 2025 season with a good performance. The Thai rider made a superb start, even coming close to the top 10. He finally closed 15th after a long battle.

A great result for the whole team and a confidence boost in view of the next round, in two weeks, at Le Mans, a circuit loved by both riders.

Actually, I’m really happy with today’s race — and the whole weekend.
Jerez isn’t my favorite track, but this weekend gave me a lot of confidence. I realised that when I have a good feeling with the bike, I can really push more, and that’s a very positive sign for me and for the team.
We improved steadily from Friday all the way to Sunday. My race pace was strong, and that’s a big step forward. Now that I have this good base, I believe I can push for even more in the next races. We are moving in the right direction!

MOTO3: TATCHAKORN BUASRI #5

Today was a good day for me. I feel like I unlocked something with my feeling on the bike, and it really helped me mentally too — I feel much stronger now when it comes to racing. I was able to fight today and feel better while doing it. I really believe I made a personal improvement, and I want to keep this motivation and positive energy heading into Le Mans. I’m really happy with today’s result!

HIROSHI AOYAMA – Team Manager

It was not an easy race, but it was a good one because both of our riders scored points — something we hadn’t achieved in a while, so that’s very positive. The front riders were using different tire options compared to us; we chose the soft, which maybe wasn’t the best today.
But considering the pace we showed throughout the weekend, I think both Taiyo and Tatchakorn managed the best race possible. Scoring points at a track like Jerez is important. Now we turn our focus to Le Mans, a circuit both riders enjoy more. Thanks to all our staff, sponsors, and supporters — we’ll keep pushing for even more in the next races!
