The Moto3 Honda Team Asia faced the 8th round 8 of the 2025 World Championship at MotorLand Aragón, one of the most technically challenging tracks on the calendar. Known for its long straight, dramatic elevation changes, and several heavy braking zones, as well as for its high temperatures at this time of year, it tested riders’ skill and bike setup. The weekend didn’t begin as hoped for the team and the first day was a real challenge. Taiyo Furusato ended the day in 15th position, just one place from securing a direct spot in Q2.
His teammate Tatchakorn Buasri faced even more difficulties. A mechanical issue in the morning forced him to return to the pits, missing the FP1. The Thai used the second session to build pace and gather information, finishing the day in 23rd place.
The second day was better, especially for Furusato who made a big step forward, securing a place in Q2 after the first qualifying session. The Japanese maintained his focus and got a strong 5th place on the grid, with an excellent 1’56.868 lap— his best qualifying performance of the season. Meanwhile, Buasri finished 8th in Q1, which means 22nd on the starting grid. The race was thrilling and breathtaking from the beginning to the end and took place under extremely hot conditions.Taiyo Furusato, 5th on the grid, lost some positions after the start but he steadily came back in the leading group. Over ten riders were battling for podium positions, with Taiyo right in the mix. Unfortunately, two small mistakes in the final laps made him lose a few places, and he ultimately crossed the line 11th. Tatchakorn Buasri had a promising start, getting closer to the points zone. However, after receiving a warning during the race, his performance was affected, and he gradually lost places. He finished the race in 20th position.Despite the final result both riders showed competitive potential and valuable race pace that is a good sign for the next races. Next stop: the legendary Mugello circuit in two weeks!

MOTO3: TAIYO FURUSATO #72
Grid P5 –  Race 11

furusato 2024

It’s been a tough day. I think overall, we managed the weekend in a positive way and worked well with the team to aim for the best result possible.
During the race, I tried to manage my pace from the beginning to the middle stages, but toward the end, I struggled a lot with tire degradation. Unfortunately, I made a mistake, and it was really difficult to finish the race in a strong position.
If I had stayed in the group, maybe I could’ve finished in the podium, but that mistake cost me some important points. I’m disappointed with myself, and I know the team is as well. Still, the season is long, and now we’re heading into some of my favorite tracks—so I believe we can come back strong. We know what we need to work on, and I’m looking forward to the next race.

MOTO3: TATCHAKORN BUASRI #5
Grid P22 – Race 20

buasri 2024

Today was a difficult day for me. I pushed so hard in the beginning of the race that I couldn’t manage it properly by the end of the race, and the tires dropped. Then I struggled with my riding and the bike felt a bet unstable and sliding. That makes it impossible to improve lap times in the second half of the race and I dropped some positions.
Overall, the feeling was not too bad, but I couldn’t extract the performance I was aiming for. I stayed in the group and did my best, but this weekend has been tough. I want to say sorry for my performance. I didn’t meet my expectations, but I’ll try to improve myself and the bike setup for the next round in Mugello.

HIROSHI AOYAMA – Team Manager

The Moto3 race today was quite exciting. Both of our riders showed competitive pace—Tatchakorn Buasri was fighting for the points around 15th position, and Taiyo  Furusato was in the front group, battling for the podium.
Up until the final three laps, Taiyo Furusato had a strong chance to finish in the top three, possibly even fight for the win. Unfortunately, with two laps to go, he made a big mistake that caused him to lose momentum and completely disrupted his rhythm.
As a result, he wasn’t able to recover and ultimately finished in P11. Tatchakorn Buasri ended in P20, which is not the result we were hoping for. We’re clearly disappointed, but we accept today’s outcome and will focus on improving for the next race. Thank you to all our staff, sponsors, and supporters. We’ll continue pushing forward
