After a three-week summer break, the Honda Team Asia came back to compete in the tenth race weekend of the Moto3 World Championship at the Silverstone Circuit.

The British GP opened the second half of the season and, unfortunately, Taiyo Furusato couldn’t take part in the event due to an accident he suffered during the summer break which forced him to undergo surgery. The rider is ok, already working hard to recover in time for the Austrian GP.

Silverstone, known as one of the longest and most challenging circuits of the season, welcomed Tatchakorn Buasri, who was competing on this circuit for the first time. The debut on the British track was a little bit hard for the Thai rider who succeeded in improving his lap times from the morning to the afternoon sessions, ending the first day in 24th position.

On the qualifying day, Tatchakorn Buasri delivered an impressive performance, improving his best time from free practice by nearly two seconds, getting the 19th position on the grid.

Tatchakorn Buasri’s race started well, and the Thai rookie demonstrated significant effort throughout the challenging race, trying to contend for points. In the second half of the race, his performance declined, and he finished the race in the same position he started.

Next stop, Red Bull Ring in two weeks!

MOTO3: TAIYO FURUSATO #72

It’s a shame but I couldn’t compete in the British Grand Prix at Silverstone last weekend. I am really angry and disappointed about this, as I have worked hard over the summer to be ready for this moment. It’s a small step backwards, but I will work hard to recover as soon as possible and be ready for the next GP in Austria.

MOTO3: TATCHAKORN BUASRI #5

Today’s result is not what my team or I had hoped for. Our goal was to score at least one point, and I know I can achieve more. I struggled during the race; despite a strong start and a good opportunity to fight for points, it became increasingly difficult to maintain my pace as the laps progressed. I will work diligently this week to ensure consistency and prepare thoroughly to perform at my best in Austria. Thank you to everyone for their support.

HIROSHI AOYAMA – Team Manager

We have just concluded the Moto3 race here at Silverstone. Tatchakorn Buasri demonstrated significant effort throughout the challenging race, starting well and positioning himself to contend for points. At several moments, he was in 15th position, showing a commendable pace at the race’s onset.
However, in the second half of the race, his performance declined, and he ultimately finished 19th, which falls short of our expectations. Moving forward, it is crucial that we focus on maintaining a consistent pace throughout the race. On a positive note, he showed strong potential in the early stages.
In the upcoming race, we must improve. We are hopeful to have both riders back in Austria. We aim to return stronger, and I would like to extend my gratitude to our supporters, sponsors, and the team for their hard work. Let’s continue to work and improve for the next race.
