The ninth round of the 2025 Moto3 World Championship took place at the iconic Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello, one of the most exciting events of the year. This legendary circuit combines slow and fast turns, sweeping curves, long straights, and off-camber corners — making it one of the most challenging tracks of the calendar.
After the Aragon Grand Prix, where both Furusato and Buasri showed competitive potential and valuable race pace, the Tuscan hills welcomed the Honda Team Asia team under intense sun and heat.

The first day in Mugello was marked by excellent track conditions, which helped many riders to set fast lap times from the start.
Taiyo and Tatchakorn used the FP1 session to find their rhythm while in the afternoon, their performance improved. Furusato delivered an excellent lap, getting the 2nd position and securing a spot directly into Q2.
Buasri also made progress finishing 20th.

Furusato began the second day by finishing 19th in the final Free Practice session. In Q2, the Japanese rider got the 10th place on the grid, riding alone without any slipstream and showing pace without depending on others.
Buasri faced a much more challenging day. After experiencing physical discomfort during the final practice, he visited the medical center for assessment. Due to his physical conditions, the Thai rider wasn’t at 100% in Q1 and couldn’t give his best. He got the 24th position on the grid.

The race was thrilling and dramatic from start to finish, with both riders showing great effort and determination.
Taiyo Furusato, who started 10th, quickly settled into the leading group with over ten riders all fighting for the victory. As the race progressed, Furusato made a step ahead, positioning himself within the podium places. Heading into the final lap, he had the opportunity to win but a small mistake in the first corner cost him valuable positions, and despite giving everything until the finish line, he crossed it in 6th place.
His teammate Tatchakorn Buasri, starting 24th on the grid, made a comeback performance. Lap after lap, he gained positions, close to the top 15. Despite the fight and the progress, a late-race battle with other riders pushed him just outside the points, and he finished 17th.

There is no time to stop: next weekend the MotoGP family will be in Assen for the Dutch GP.

MOTO3: TAIYO FURUSATO #72
Grid P10 –  Race 6

furusato 2024

It was a very complicated race, with a big group — a classic Moto3 race. Overall, it wasn’t a bad weekend. In fact, it was a good one. We started working more on our own this time, not focusing too much on positions. Of course, for one lap, we need some luck with the slipstream, and we managed to put in a good lap at the end. That’s the way we want to work going forward.
In the race, I was managing things quite well, but unfortunately, I made a big mistake on the last lap and dropped to P6. Still, we feel we’re working in the right direction — we’re missing something small, but not far off. We don’t need to make big changes, just focus on the finer details, especially for the final laps. So now, we’ll keep building from this and prepare for the next race. A few small improvements can really change the outcome. We’ll keep working for that.

MOTO3: TATCHAKORN BUASRI #5
Grid P24 – Race 17

For me, today’s race was quite good overall. I’m happy — I can say it was a decent result. But I think I could have finished in a better position. I felt like my bike didn’t have much speed on the straight, so I lost time there and had to recover a lot in the corners, which made it a bit difficult.
Also, in the middle of the race, another rider crashed in front of me, and I lost the group. After that, I stayed with the second group for about five laps. In the final laps, I tried to catch the front again, but my bike just couldn’t go any faster. I had to push more in the corners, but it wasn’t enough. At least I learned a lot this weekend. Thank you so much to the team — we’ll keep improving and working hard. We know what we need to focus on for the next races.

HIROSHI AOYAMA – Team Manager

We just completed the Moto3 race where both riders performed well, it was a very exciting race over 17 laps. Both riders did a great job and gave their maximum. Taiyo Furusato was fighting for the victory until the very end. In the last few laps, everything was going perfectly, but on the final lap, he lost a few positions and finished in P6.
Of course, that’s frustrating because it could have been a completely different result — maybe even a win. But that’s racing. Sometimes it goes your way, and sometimes it doesn’t. What matters is that we finished the race, and although P6 is not what we aimed for, we appreciate the effort.
Tatchakorn Buasri also did what he could under difficult physical conditions, and we thank him for pushing through. Next weekend we have another race, and we want to bounce back and achieve a result we can all be happy with. Thanks as always to our supporters, sponsors, and all our staff. Let’s keep working hard.
